Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like marketing and risk management into their pricing, while this market relies purely on traders' willingness to buy or sell. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different information and incentives, and neither is guaranteed to be correct.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence regarding the Fiodor vs. Vitalie fight.
This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
