Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market relies on the aggregated predictions of individuals. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly favors one outcome. These differences can arise from varying information access, analytical approaches, or simply differing risk appetites between market participants and sportsbook operators. Examining these differences can offer insights into public perception and potential value opportunities.
