Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict may differ due to variations in user base, trading volume, and market-specific rules. Polymarket might attract a different demographic of traders with unique insights compared to Predict. Furthermore, the liquidity—or volume—of this market on each platform can influence price discovery. A higher volume generally leads to more efficient pricing. Differences in the fees charged by each platform, or the types of collateral accepted, can also contribute to price discrepancies. These factors create independent price signals, even for the same underlying event.
