Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on their own models and a margin for profit, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available and more people trade, the odds here can converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds, potentially offering value for informed bettors. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes, especially as event time approaches.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief of the traders about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, creating a real-time forecast. The market isn’t influenced by any single opinion, but rather by the aggregated actions of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Davidson vs. St. Thomas game, as reported by official sources, will determine the winning contract. It’s important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available information to ensure a fair and transparent outcome for all traders involved in this market.
