This market tracks which team will lead after the first half of a college football game between Davidson and Presbyterian. It reflects the competitive balance and performance of both teams in the initial 30 minutes of play. The outcome depends solely on the scoring during the first half, not the final game result.
The market resolves based on which team leads at the end of the first half of the Davidson vs Presbyterian college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. If Presbyterian holds the lead after the first half, the "Presbyterian wins 1st Half" market resolves to Yes. If Davidson leads after the first half, the "Davidson wins 1st Half" market resolves to Yes. If the teams are tied at the end of the first half, the "Tie 1st Half" market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the first half count toward resolution. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome, leading to potentially more efficient pricing. While sportsbooks may initially react to news and public perception, prediction markets can adjust rapidly as new information becomes available and more traders participate. It's common to see convergence as the event approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market's probability of that outcome occurring; a higher price indicates a greater perceived chance of success. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders set their own prices, and the market dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand. This creates a real-time assessment of the likely winner of the first half between Davidson and Presbyterian, driven by the collective intelligence of those participating in the market.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the first half of the Davidson vs Presbyterian basketball game will be declared the winner of this market. Official game statistics and results will be used to determine the winning team. Traders who correctly predicted the first-half winner will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Davidson or Presbyterian would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team performance, such as a recent winning or losing streak, could also shift expectations. Furthermore, pre-game analysis from sports analysts and updated betting lines from sportsbooks can impact trader sentiment. Even unexpected weather conditions or changes in the game location could introduce uncertainty and affect the market price before the Oct 11, 2026 resolution.
