This market tracks whether either team secures a decisive lead in the first period of an upcoming NHL game. It focuses specifically on the margin of victory rather than just winning the period. The outcome depends entirely on the performance of the teams within the first segment of play.
The market resolves based on whether either Dallas or Chicago wins the first period by more than a 1.5 goal margin. If Chicago achieves this dominant lead, that specific market resolves to Yes; if Dallas does so instead, its corresponding market resolves to Yes. Both markets share identical secondary rules: overtime does not apply to first-period determinations, and if the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, the result still applies. If the game is cancelled or fails to start within this window, all markets resolve to a fair price.
