This event group concerns a KBL (Korean Basketball League) game between the Daegu Pegasus and the Mobis Phoebus. The markets resolve to either Daegu Pegasus winning or Mobis Phoebus winning the game, with provisions for postponement or cancellation.
In the upcoming KBL game, scheduled for October 31 at 3:30AM ET: If the Daegu Pegasus win, the market will resolve to "Daegu Pegasus". If the Mobis Phoebus win, the market will resolve to "Mobis Phoebus". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The result will be determined based on the final score including any overtime periods.
Markets resolve to Yes if the specified team wins the originally scheduled game. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the scheduled time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and the incentive structure. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, factoring in a margin, while prediction markets allow participants to directly express their beliefs. This market benefits from the collective intelligence of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the result. As a result, prediction market prices can sometimes be more accurate, reflecting a more nuanced assessment of the probabilities than traditional betting options. However, liquidity and volume can influence price discovery in both.
