The market resolves based on the outcome of a qualifying tournament determining participation in a scheduled Dota 2 match between CyberHero and Mena Warriors on October 16, 2026. If CyberHero wins the EPL Masters Play-In 2026, its corresponding market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Mena Warriors wins the same qualifying tournament, their market resolves to Yes. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often differ from those found at sportsbooks, reflecting varying levels of information and different participant motivations. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market represents the aggregated beliefs of informed traders. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those on Kalshi, it could indicate a disagreement about the true probability of an outcome. Discrepancies can arise from differing expert analyses, access to unique data, or simply the influence of public sentiment. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds over time.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a market-making system to ensure there's always a bid and ask price available, facilitating continuous trading and price discovery. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the CyberHero vs. Mena Warriors match, as reported by the governing body or official tournament organizers. The platform will verify the result against publicly available data to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event result. Traders holding contracts for the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several signals or events could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding team rosters, player injuries, or changes in coaching staff for either the CyberHero or Mena Warriors could significantly impact trading activity. Unexpected results in other matches leading up to the event, or shifts in public sentiment based on expert analysis, could also move the market. Furthermore, any announcements related to the match schedule, location, or format could introduce volatility. Monitoring these factors will be key to understanding potential price movements.
