Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict for this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the incentive structure and information aggregation. Sportsbooks set odds to ensure profit, incorporating a margin, while prediction markets allow participants to directly express their beliefs. This can lead to more accurate probabilities, as the 'wisdom of the crowd' comes into play. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and often influence initial trading in prediction markets. It’s common to see arbitrage opportunities between the two, though these are often quickly exploited.
