In the upcoming Liga Nacional Guatemala game between CSD Mixco and CSD Municipal, scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the CSD Mixco vs. CSD Municipal match originally scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, access to information, or simply variations in risk assessment between market participants and sportsbook operators. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores in the match, and the price of each share reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the prices adjust, providing a dynamic and real-time estimate of the likelihood of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price and indicating a higher probability. Conversely, if traders believe a score is unlikely, they will sell, lowering the price.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Guatemalan soccer match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will settle based on the official result declared by the governing soccer authority. The resolution will reflect the exact final score, including any potential extra time or penalty shootouts if applicable. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score will receive a payout of 1 USDC per share, while shares in incorrect outcomes will be worth 0 USDC. The platform will verify the result and distribute payouts accordingly.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either CSD Mixco or CSD Municipal would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain, could also affect the style of play and influence the perceived probabilities of different scores. Unexpected tactical decisions by either team’s coach, revealed during pre-match press conferences, might also move the market. Finally, any late-breaking news regarding team morale or internal conflicts could impact trader sentiment and lead to price adjustments in this market.
