Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for the Independiente del Valle vs LDU Quito match can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, all of which can influence price discovery. Differences in liquidity, with one platform having significantly more volume than the other, can also create price discrepancies. Furthermore, differing interpretations of available information or varying levels of risk aversion among traders on each platform can lead to distinct probabilities being assigned to the same outcomes. These factors contribute to the observed differences in pricing.
