Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own insights. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, they can buy 'yes' shares, driving up the price and potentially creating a divergence. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities as the event approaches, especially when significant information emerges.
