PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on second-half goals and employing the same fallback data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The team scoring more goals in the second half (including stoppage time) wins.
  • If both teams score the same number of goals in the second half, the market resolves to a draw.
  • If the game is canceled, the market resolves to a draw.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for.
Timing: The market resolves once the second half of the match (including any stoppage time) has concluded and the official result is available, but no later than 24 hours after the event's conclusion. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences in pricing between Polymarket and Predict can arise from several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and information. Trading volume also plays a role; a market with higher volume on one platform may have more efficient price discovery. Furthermore, the specific rules and incentives on each platform can influence trading behavior. For instance, Polymarket might have different fee structures or liquidity provisions than Predict, leading to price discrepancies even with the same underlying event.
