In the upcoming Premier League game between Crystal Palace FC and Newcastle United FC, scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Crystal Palace FC vs. Newcastle United FC match originally scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by house biases or promotional offers. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own analysis. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly before significant news breaks or as the event draws closer. Comparing the two can offer valuable insights into public perception versus professional analysis for the Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each possible first-half exact score. As more shares are traded for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived likelihood. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants trading on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score at the end of the first half of the Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle match will determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on official data sources and widely available match statistics. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially declared and verified, and the market will close shortly thereafter.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the end of the first half. Late-breaking news regarding injuries to key players on either the Crystal Palace or Newcastle United squads would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also shift expectations. Additionally, any pre-match tactical announcements or confirmed starting lineups could cause traders to reassess the probabilities. Unexpected early goals or red cards during the match itself would also dramatically move this market.
