In the upcoming match between Crystal Palace FC and Liverpool FC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Crystal Palace FC" if Crystal Palace FC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Liverpool FC" if Liverpool FC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of people believe one team is more likely to score first, the odds will shift accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public perception diverges from the sportsbook’s initial assessment. Examining these differences can reveal insights into market sentiment surrounding the Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in Crystal Palace FC to score first, the price of those shares increases, and the price of Liverpool FC shares decreases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability of Crystal Palace FC scoring first in the first half is 48.5%, based on the trading activity observed on the platform.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team – Crystal Palace FC or Liverpool FC – scores the first goal during the first half of the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The platform will then finalize the outcome and distribute payouts to traders who correctly predicted which team would break the deadlock first in the opening 45 minutes.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Crystal Palace FC or Liverpool FC would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also move the market. Furthermore, general football news, expert analysis predicting a strong start for one team, or even shifts in public sentiment could all contribute to changes in the price of shares. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also be a catalyst, potentially favoring one team’s playing style over the other.
