Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a certain outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional sportsbooks, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. This can be a useful tool for identifying value.
On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Crystal Palace and Newcastle will have 11 or more total corners. The price reflects the supply and demand for these contracts. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are essentially betting against each other, and the market price represents the collective probability of the event occurring. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price will adjust to reflect the latest consensus.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final corner count from the Crystal Palace versus Newcastle match will be used to determine whether the total exceeds 11. Official match data will be the basis for verifying the result. Traders holding a 'yes' contract will receive a payout if the condition is met, while those holding a 'no' contract will receive a payout if the total is 10 or fewer corners.
Several factors could influence this market. Late injury news regarding key players known for winning corners, such as wingers or set-piece takers, could shift the odds. Changes in weather conditions – particularly windy conditions – might also affect the number of corners awarded. Pre-match tactical analysis predicting a more attacking or defensive approach from either team could also play a role. Finally, any news regarding refereeing assignments, as some referees are known to award more corners than others, could move this market before Oct 26, 2026.
