In the upcoming UEFA Women's World Cup Qualification game between Croatia and Iceland, scheduled for October 9, 2026 at 12:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Croatia vs. Iceland match originally scheduled for October 9, 2026 at 12:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own research and information. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or breaking news. These differences can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders capitalize on price variations between the two. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket often converge with sportsbook lines as more information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium point. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand; no external factors or oracles directly influence the pricing mechanism. This allows for a dynamic and responsive reflection of market sentiment regarding the Croatia vs. Iceland match.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final, official score of the Croatia vs. Iceland match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing football association. Any potential overtime or penalty shootouts will be included in determining the final score. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score outcome will be paid out according to the market's pricing at the time of resolution, while shares in incorrect outcomes will expire worthless.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Croatian or Icelandic national teams would likely cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches could also influence trading activity. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from reputable sports analysts, or even significant betting patterns observed in traditional sportsbooks, could sway market sentiment. Finally, even weather conditions on match day could play a role, potentially affecting the style of play and influencing the likelihood of certain scorelines.
