This prediction market concerns the outcome of a Cricket World Cup League 2 match between the UAE and Oman, scheduled for November 4, 2026. The market resolves to the winner of the match, accounting for potential tiebreakers like Super Overs, or a 50-50 split in cases of a tie without a tiebreaker.
This market refers to the cricket match between UAE and Oman scheduled for November 4 2026 at 12:30 AM ET in Cricket World Cup League 2. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives of participants. Sportsbooks aim to set lines that balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin, while prediction markets allow participants to directly express their beliefs about the outcome. This market’s odds reflect the collective intelligence of forecasters, and can sometimes provide a more accurate assessment of probabilities. The volume of $0 traded on this market indicates the level of interest and confidence surrounding the event compared to traditional betting venues.
Prices on Polymarket and Predict for this market can diverge due to a number of factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and access to information. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Furthermore, trading mechanisms and liquidity can differ, influencing price discovery. For example, Polymarket might have a higher concentration of cricket experts, leading to a different assessment of the teams’ probabilities than Predict, which may have a broader range of participants. These differences in market dynamics contribute to the observed price discrepancies.
This market is scheduled to resolve around Nov 11, 2026, once the result of the UAE vs Oman cricket match is officially confirmed. The outcome will be verified against credible public reporting from official sports sources. The final result, determining which outcome is considered correct for this market, will be based on the official match result as declared by the governing cricket authorities. Traders should monitor official sources for the final determination of the match winner.
Several signals could significantly impact this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts affecting playing conditions could shift trader sentiment. Performance in recent matches by both the UAE and Oman, as well as any strategic announcements from team management, could also influence the odds. Unexpected developments during the match itself, such as key wickets or exceptional batting performances, would likely cause rapid adjustments in the market price. Monitoring these factors will be crucial for understanding how this market evolves.
