This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Oman and Canada scheduled for October 9 2026 at 2:00 AM ET in Cricket World Cup League 2. The outcome corresponding to Oman will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Oman. The outcome corresponding to Canada will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Canada. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player being the top batter. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand, meaning it’s a direct expression of collective prediction. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs in the Oman vs Canada cricket match. Official match results will be used to determine the winning player, and the market will settle accordingly. The platform will verify the outcome against reliable sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders who held shares in the winning player will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes to the team lineup would likely cause significant shifts. Weather conditions on the day of the match could also play a role, as they can affect batting performance. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or strategic changes could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, major upsets in other related matches or changes in expert analysis could lead to adjustments in the probabilities assigned to each player. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding potential market movements.
