This market refers to the cricket match between Netherlands and Oman scheduled for October 27 2026 at 1:30 AM ET in Cricket World Cup League 2. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the aggregated predictions of informed traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that traders possess information not yet fully priced in by sportsbooks, or that they have differing opinions on the relative strengths of the teams. It’s important to consider both sources when forming your own assessment of the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its shares will climb, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of probabilities based on collective intelligence. The current price reflects the aggregated forecasts of all traders.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Netherlands vs Oman cricket match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The market will determine which outcome – a win for the Netherlands or a win for Oman – is deemed to have occurred. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result and their positions in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather conditions affecting the match could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected performance in other matches leading up to the event might also cause adjustments to probabilities. Furthermore, significant bets placed by well-known or respected traders could trigger follow-on movements as others react to their actions. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding potential shifts in the market before Nov 3, 2026.
