Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the game's outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook’s initial assessment. The current volume of $3,066 suggests active trading and evolving probabilities for this event.
Differences in prices between Polymarket and Kalshi can arise from several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading fees, and liquidity, which can influence price discovery. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for trading and market making on each platform can lead to variations. For example, differing levels of participation from sophisticated traders or the presence of large limit orders on one platform but not the other can create temporary price discrepancies. The current volume of $3,066 indicates the level of interest and activity influencing prices.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
