Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence in a particular outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts closer to the event.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the fight's potential results. This differs from fixed-odds betting, as the odds are constantly adjusting based on supply and demand.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Crecessco vs. Spivacov fight, as declared by the relevant sporting authority. The platform will verify the result against trusted sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Nov 1, 2026. News regarding fighter injuries, changes in training regimens, or even pre-fight press conference statements could all impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about weight class changes or potential rule adjustments could also cause significant shifts in the odds. Furthermore, any public analysis from respected MMA experts or shifts in betting patterns at traditional sportsbooks might prompt traders to reassess their positions, leading to increased volume and price fluctuations.
