In the upcoming Premier League game between Coventry City FC and Sunderland AFC, scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Coventry City FC vs. Sunderland AFC match originally scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, aims to reflect the true probabilities of each outcome, though discrepancies can certainly occur. It’s common to find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional polls or analysts’ predictions, as they aggregate information from a diverse range of participants actively incentivized to make correct assessments. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact scoreline. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, with higher demand driving up the price and indicating a greater perceived probability of that outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market efficiently incorporates new information as it becomes available, reflecting the evolving expectations of participants. Currently, the most actively traded outcome is Exact Score: Coventry City FC 0 - 1 Sunderland AFC, though this can change rapidly.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Coventry City vs. Sunderland match, as officially recorded by the governing football authorities, will determine the winning contract. The platform will verify the result against these sources to ensure accuracy and finalize the payouts to contract holders. Traders should monitor official sources for the confirmed result after the match concludes to understand the final settlement.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Coventry City or Sunderland would likely cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, weather conditions on match day, especially if they are severe, might influence expectations about the game's flow and scoring potential. Even public sentiment, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, can contribute to price movements in this market.
