In the upcoming Premier League game between Coventry City FC and Newcastle United FC, scheduled for October 12, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Coventry City FC vs. Newcastle United FC match originally scheduled for October 12, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, driven by individual traders, tends to more quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities based on collective belief. While sportsbooks may react to news, prediction markets can sometimes anticipate it, leading to discrepancies in the implied probabilities of various outcomes. It’s common to see differences, especially as the event draws nearer.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. When more people buy contracts for a specific outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform doesn’t impose a fixed margin; instead, the market determines the price based on trader activity. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the collective forecast of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Coventry City vs. Newcastle match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing football authorities. Any potential extra time or penalty shootouts will be considered as part of the final score if applicable to the competition rules. The platform will then determine the winning contract(s) and distribute payouts accordingly to those who correctly predicted the exact score of the game.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Coventry City or Newcastle United would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Any changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact the market. Unexpected announcements about player availability, or even rumors of internal team conflicts, could also move the odds. Public sentiment, reflected in social media and sports news, can also contribute to price fluctuations as traders react to new information.
