This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between OldBoys and Fire Flux Esports in the ESEA Advanced Europe Regular Season, initially scheduled for October 13, 2026 at 2:30 PM ET. This market will resolve to "OldBoys" if OldBoys win the match against Fire Flux Esports. This market will resolve to "Fire Flux Esports" if Fire Flux Esports win the match against OldBoys. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 13, 2026 at 2:30 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of team strengths. If you find a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it might suggest an opportunity for value betting, or that the market possesses information not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. The current price indicates what the crowd believes is the fair probability of the outcome, given all available information. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new developments and insights.
This market resolves around Nov 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the OldBoys versus Fire Flux Esports match in the ESEA Advanced Europe Regular Season, as reported by the tournament organizer. The team declared the winner by the official tournament results will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be eligible for payout based on the final market price.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or potential roster changes for either OldBoys or Fire Flux Esports could significantly impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected results in other recent matches, or even commentary from analysts and experts, could also sway trader sentiment. Major in-game events during the match itself, such as early round dominance by one team, are unlikely to affect this market as it is a pre-match prediction, but pre-match news is key.
