This market refers to the Counter-Strike Opening match between NIP and Betclic Apogee Esports in the Stake Pulse Beat III Group A, initially scheduled for October 12, 2026 at 6:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "NIP" if NIP win the match against Betclic Apogee Esports. This market will resolve to "Betclic Apogee Esports" if Betclic Apogee Esports win the match against NIP. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 12, 2026 at 6:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a team, the prediction market odds will likely move in the opposite direction. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, biases, or simply varying interpretations of team strengths. Examining these differences can offer valuable insights into public sentiment and potential value bets.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, indicating growing confidence. Conversely, increased selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing ensures the market constantly adjusts to incorporate new information and changing perspectives on the NIP vs Apogee match.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the NIP vs Apogee CS:GO match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team, as officially declared by the tournament organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. The platform will utilize publicly available results to determine the winning outcome, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process. Traders should monitor official sources for the final match results to understand how their positions will be settled.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Unexpected news regarding player form, such as injuries or roster changes for either NIP or Apogee, would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. In-game performance during the series itself, even in the early rounds, could also trigger rapid adjustments. Major upsets in other matches within the Stake Pulse Beat III Group A could also affect confidence levels, as perceptions of team strength are relative. Any significant information impacting the perceived probability of either team winning has the potential to move this market.
