This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket quarterfinal 4 match between MIBR and Eternal Fire in the Stake Ranked Episode 5 Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 27, 2026 at 2:30 PM ET. This market will resolve to "MIBR" if MIBR win the match against Eternal Fire. This market will resolve to "Eternal Fire" if Eternal Fire win the match against MIBR. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 27, 2026 at 2:30 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. This market reflects the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially incorporating information and analysis not readily available to sportsbook oddsmakers. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on team rankings and statistics, this market can quickly adjust to news, roster changes, or even subtle shifts in public sentiment. Discrepancies between prediction market prices and sportsbook odds can present opportunities for informed traders who believe one side is mispriced.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy contracts for a specific team, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence in their victory. Conversely, selling contracts lowers the price, indicating decreasing confidence. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds always reflect the most up-to-date collective assessment of the event’s potential results.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Counter-Strike: MIBR vs Eternal Fire best-of-three series is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team, as determined by the official tournament organizers, will dictate the settlement of this market. The platform will verify the final score and distribute payouts to contract holders accordingly. It’s important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available and independently verifiable information to ensure a fair and transparent outcome.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding player form, potential roster changes for either MIBR or Eternal Fire, or even updates on team strategies could cause significant shifts in the odds. Unexpected announcements about map pools or tournament conditions could also play a role. Furthermore, large volume trades from influential traders on Polymarket can sometimes trigger momentum and drive price movements, especially if they signal a strong conviction in a particular outcome. Keep an eye on these signals as the event approaches.
