Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between Luminosity and HOTU in the Tesla Cup Group B, initially scheduled for October 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Luminosity" if Luminosity win the match against HOTU. This market will resolve to "HOTU" if HOTU win the match against Luminosity. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Predict, aims to represent the true probability of each outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust as new information emerges and more people participate. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, particularly as the event approaches.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of each contract reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically. This creates a real-time assessment of probabilities, distinct from static odds offered elsewhere. The current price movement indicates the perceived value of each outcome by those actively trading.

This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the Counter-Strike: Luminosity vs HOTU (BO3) match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify the final results from official sources to ensure accuracy and fairness. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result of the match.

Several factors could influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or unexpected roster changes for either Luminosity or HOTU could significantly shift the odds. Major upsets in other matches within the Tesla Cup Group B could also impact perceptions of team strength. Furthermore, general sentiment within the Counter-Strike community, as reflected in social media and analyst predictions, could drive trading activity and move the market. Unexpected delays or cancellations of the match itself would also be a key event.
