This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket quarterfinal 3 match between Inner Circle Esports and Team Nemesis in the Stake Ranked Episode 5 Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 27, 2026 at 9:30 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Inner Circle Esports" if Inner Circle Esports win the match against Team Nemesis. This market will resolve to "Team Nemesis" if Team Nemesis win the match against Inner Circle Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 27, 2026 at 9:30 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows individuals to express their own beliefs and react to new information. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, access to information, or biases. It’s common to see prediction market prices move independently of sportsbook odds, especially as new developments emerge before the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, creating a real-time assessment of the event's potential results. The market’s efficiency is driven by the incentives for traders to accurately predict the outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Counter-Strike: Inner Circle Esports vs Team Nemesis (BO3) match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team, as determined by the official tournament organizers, will dictate the settlement of this market. The resolution will be based on the final match score as reported by the official source, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Unexpected news regarding player form, team strategies, or even roster changes could significantly shift trader sentiment. In-game performance during the series itself, such as a dominant performance by one team in the first map, would likely cause rapid price adjustments. Furthermore, any announcements from the tournament organizers regarding potential delays or rule changes could also impact trading activity and the overall market price.
