This market refers to the Counter-Strike Opening match between Heroic and Envy in the Stake Pulse Beat III Group D, initially scheduled for October 15, 2026 at 6:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Heroic" if Heroic win the match against Envy. This market will resolve to "Envy" if Envy win the match against Heroic. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 15, 2026 at 6:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis that may not be immediately priced into traditional sportsbook lines. While sportsbooks set initial odds based on team rankings and statistical models, this market allows anyone to trade on their own assessment of the match. Therefore, you may find that the implied probabilities from Predict differ from those offered by sportsbooks, especially as the event approaches and new information emerges. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds-making in accuracy.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of the traders. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that if many traders believe Heroic is likely to win, the price of contracts representing a Heroic victory will increase, and vice versa. The market efficiently incorporates new information as it becomes available, and the price serves as a real-time probability estimate.
This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Heroic vs Envy CS:GO match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the tournament organizers. The market will determine which team won the best-of-three series, based on the official match results. Traders holding contracts on the winning team will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player form, potential roster changes for either Heroic or Envy, or even updates on map pools could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches leading up to this one could also impact perceptions of team strength. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first map of the series could cause rapid adjustments to the odds, as traders react to how the teams are playing. Major upsets or dominant performances are likely to cause substantial movement in this market.
