This market tracks whether fnatic will win their Counter-Strike best-of-three match against Phantom in the 1win Private Club #2: Closed Qualifier Playoffs Round of 16. Currently, Polymarket gives fnatic a 100.0% probability of winning, with resolution based on the results reported at https://hltv.org. As the match is initially scheduled for October 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET, keep a close watch on HLTV for confirmation of the final match results following that time to determine the market’s outcome.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round of 16 match between fnatic and Phantom in the 1win Private Club #2: Closed Qualifier Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "fnatic" if fnatic win the match against Phantom. This market will resolve to "Phantom" if Phantom win the match against fnatic. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like promotional offers or biases, while this market relies purely on traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their assessment of the likely outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply variations in public perception. Analyzing these differences can be insightful for informed decision-making, but it's important to remember that both represent probabilities as seen by different groups.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe fnatic will win, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb, and vice versa for Phantom. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants.
This market resolves around Oct 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the best-of-three match between fnatic and Phantom in the 1win Private Club #2: Closed Qualifier Playoffs. The winning team, as declared by the tournament organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. Any potential disputes will be assessed based on publicly available match records and official tournament rulings.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market before resolution. Unexpected news regarding player form, such as injuries or roster changes for either fnatic or Phantom, could significantly shift trader sentiment. Major upsets in other concurrent Counter-Strike events might also impact perceptions of team strength. Additionally, any public statements from team members or analysts offering insights into the matchup could contribute to price movements within this market. Overall, any information that alters the perceived probability of either team winning has the potential to move the market.
