This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 1 match between Aurora Gaming and TheMongolz in the PGL Masters Bucharest Group Stage, initially scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 3:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Aurora Gaming" if Aurora Gaming win the match against TheMongolz. This market will resolve to "TheMongolz" if TheMongolz win the match against Aurora Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 7, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 24, 2026 at 3:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while prediction markets incentivize participants to express their true beliefs. This can lead to differences, as prediction markets may incorporate information not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines. However, arbitrage opportunities can emerge, causing convergence between the two. Examining both sources provides a more comprehensive view of potential outcomes for this event.
Prices on Polymarket and Predict can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and access to information. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can lead to greater price volatility. Furthermore, the specific markets offered on each platform – Polymarket currently favors Map 3 Rounds Handicap: Aurora Gaming (-3.5) vs TheMongolz (+3.5), while Predict leans toward Map 2 Total Rounds: Over/Under 21.5 – can influence price discovery and attract different types of traders. These factors contribute to the observed price discrepancies.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market before resolution. Unexpected news regarding player form, team strategies, or even minor injuries could shift expectations. In-game performance during the early rounds of the PGL Masters Bucharest Group Stage, particularly if one team demonstrates a clear advantage, will likely impact prices. Major upsets in other matches within the tournament could also indirectly affect this market by altering the perceived competitive landscape. Significant volume spikes on either Polymarket or Predict could also indicate new information entering the market.
