This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 1 match between Aurora Gaming and 9z in the ESL Pro League Group Stage, initially scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Aurora Gaming" if Aurora Gaming win the match against 9z. This market will resolve to "9z" if 9z win the match against Aurora Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 3, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, representing their assessment of the true probabilities. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on team rankings and statistics, this market can quickly adjust to incorporate new information or differing opinions, potentially offering a more accurate forecast. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as new information emerges.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of the traders. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe Aurora Gaming will win, the price of that outcome increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the odds closely represent the current expectations of the crowd. The platform doesn't use any external factors to set prices; it's solely determined by trader activity.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the best-of-three series between Aurora Gaming and 9z in the ESL Pro League Group Stage will determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify the official result reported by the tournament organizers. This ensures a transparent and objective resolution process, reflecting the actual competitive result of the match. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player form, potential roster changes for either Aurora Gaming or 9z, or updates on team strategies could all impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about map pools or tournament conditions could also cause movement. Furthermore, significant bets from informed traders – often referred to as 'smart money' – can quickly change the price of a contract. Monitoring social media and esports news sources for relevant updates will provide insight into potential catalysts.
