Often, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or inside information not yet reflected in sportsbook lines. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook odds, potentially offering different value depending on your assessment of the event.
