Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict can diverge due to several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and risk tolerance. Trading volume also plays a role; higher volume generally leads to more efficient price discovery. Additionally, the platforms may have different fee structures or liquidity provisions, influencing trader behavior. Finally, differing interpretations of available information – such as team news, injury reports, or historical performance – can contribute to price discrepancies in this market. These factors create opportunities for arbitrage across platforms.
