Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Crew vs. Saint Louis City SC match tracks the current odds for which team will score first, along with the price history of those odds. You can also view the 24-hour trading volume, which currently stands at $109, and the total volume traded to date, totaling $109. This allows you to gauge market sentiment and how actively traders are participating in this particular prediction market. The dashboard provides a real-time view of how the probabilities are shifting as new information becomes available.

Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can often differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If sportsbooks heavily favor one team, the prediction market might show a more nuanced view, especially if there’s disagreement among traders. It's common to see discrepancies, as prediction markets incorporate a wider range of information and perspectives than a single sportsbook's analysis.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in Saint Louis City SC to score first, the price of those shares increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, increased trading activity favoring the Crew would lower the price of their shares. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of the traders.

This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the Columbus Crew vs. Saint Louis City SC match. Official match records will be used to determine the winner. The market will then settle, and traders will receive payouts based on the final outcome and their shareholdings at the time of resolution. It’s important to monitor official sources for confirmation of the result.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Crew or Saint Louis City SC would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, such as recent wins or losses, could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could play a role, potentially favoring one team's playing style over the other. Finally, any significant pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators could sway opinions and affect trading activity in this market.
