In the upcoming MLS game between Columbus Crew and D.C. United SC, scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Columbus Crew vs. D.C. United SC match originally scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as the event approaches. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, while this market aggregates the diverse perspectives of many individual traders. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and this market operate with different incentives and risk management strategies, so discrepancies can occur. Comparing the two can provide a broader understanding of the expected outcome.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders about the probability of that score occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price and reduces the implied probability. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final, official score of the Columbus Crew vs. D.C. United match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score determined by official sources will be used to determine which contracts pay out. Traders who correctly predicted the exact score will receive a payout based on the contract’s price at the time of resolution. The platform will verify the result and distribute funds accordingly.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the probabilities in this market. News regarding player injuries or suspensions for either the Columbus Crew or D.C. United would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather forecasts could also affect trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about key personnel or significant pre-match analysis from reputable soccer experts could also move this market. Any information that alters the perceived likelihood of different exact scores will be reflected in the trading volume and price fluctuations.
