This set of markets tracks how many points each team scores in an upcoming college football game. Each market corresponds to a specific point threshold for a team, resolving based on whether the team's actual score exceeds that threshold.
All markets resolve based on the official final point total scored by Oklahoma State or Colorado in their college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores more than the stated point threshold (e.g., Oklahoma State over 13.5 points), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point thresholds listed.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines which are often set by experts. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to balance their risk, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see prediction market prices move independently of sportsbook odds as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. However, as the event approaches, these odds typically converge as both markets incorporate the same data. Examining the difference can reveal insights into public perception versus expert analysis for this event.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final team totals for both Colorado and Oklahoma State will be sourced from official game statistics. The market will settle based on the actual points scored by each team, as recorded by official sources. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct team totals will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on incorrect outcomes will not. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and objective, relying on publicly available data to determine the winning contracts.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Colorado or Oklahoma State would undoubtedly impact the perceived probabilities. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is expected during the game, could also influence trading activity. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic shifts announced by either team might also cause price fluctuations. Finally, any significant public sentiment shifts, perhaps driven by expert analysis or media coverage, could lead to changes in volume and pricing within this market.
