Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their analysis, aiming to balance betting action on both sides, while this market’s odds are driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Therefore, discrepancies can emerge as new information becomes available or as public opinion shifts. It’s common to see this market adjust more rapidly to impactful news than traditional sportsbook lines.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. As more people buy contracts for a specific outcome, the price of those contracts increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling contracts lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price of a contract indicates the market's collective belief about the likelihood of that outcome occurring, and traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the result.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the team leading at the end of the third quarter of the Colorado vs Oklahoma State game will be declared the winner of this market. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and results as reported by a trusted sports data provider, ensuring a fair and accurate determination of the winning outcome.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategy, or even weather conditions could shift expectations.
