This event tracks various thresholds of points scored in the second half of a college football game, focusing solely on performance during that specific period. Each threshold represents a different level of scoring intensity that bettors can evaluate.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the second half (including overtime) of the designated Colorado State vs Utah State college football game. For any market, if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, all markets remain active and resolve based on the final official result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve at a fair price, determined independently for each threshold. All markets operate under these unified conditions, with no affiliation to the NCAA.
Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the wisdom of the crowd on Kalshi, aims to reflect the true probability of the event occurring. While sportsbooks may initially set lines based on expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts as more information becomes available and more traders participate. It’s common to see differences emerge, especially as the event draws nearer and new information impacts perceived probabilities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the final 2nd half total for the Colorado St. vs Utah St. game. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of the 'yes' outcome (the total being over the listed number). On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy 'yes' contracts, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants, creating a real-time forecast of the event's outcome. The current market price indicates the crowd’s assessment of the likelihood.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final 2nd half total for the Colorado St. vs Utah St. game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official game statistics will be used to determine whether the total points scored in the 2nd half are above or below the line established for this market. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by the governing sports organization and widely available through sports news outlets. The final score will be the definitive factor in determining the winning contracts.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Colorado St. or Utah St. would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift the market. Late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions could also play a role. Furthermore, large volume trades on Kalshi itself can create price movements, as can shifts in public perception based on pre-game analysis and commentary. Monitoring these signals can help you understand potential market movements.
