These markets track how decisively one team leads at halftime in an upcoming college football game. Outcomes depend solely on the point differential at the end of the first half, reflecting early game momentum and performance.
All markets resolve based exclusively on the point differential at the end of the first half of the designated game. If Texas State wins by a margin exceeding the specified threshold, the corresponding "Texas St. wins by over X points" market resolves to Yes; if Colorado State achieves the required margin, the relevant "Colorado St. wins by over X points" market resolves to Yes. For any market where the stated condition isn’t met, it resolves to No. Postponements that commence within 48 hours of the original schedule keep markets active and resolve per the actual halftime result. Games not starting within 48 hours result in fair-price resolution, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants. All markets are independent and evaluated solely on first-half performance.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise. However, it's important to remember that prediction market prices are dynamic and constantly adjust as new information becomes available and traders express their beliefs.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the first half of the game, and the price of each contract reflects the market's collective probability assessment of that spread occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand; if more people believe Colorado St. will cover a certain spread, the price of contracts representing that spread will increase. Conversely, if sentiment shifts towards Texas St., the price will decrease.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official first-half spread result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point spread difference between the two teams at halftime will determine which contracts pay out. The market will settle to 100 for the winning spread and 0 for the losing spread. It’s important to monitor news and game updates leading up to the resolution date to stay informed about potential factors that could influence the final result.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Colorado St. or Texas St. would likely impact the spread. Changes in weather conditions, especially if they favor one team's playing style, could also cause shifts in the market. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large-volume trades on Kalshi itself can influence the price, as can any major shifts in public perception or analysis from sports commentators and analysts.
