Frequently asked questions

On Predict, the dashboard for the Rapids vs. United second half tracks the current odds, price history, and 24-hour trading volume. You can see how the implied probabilities of each outcome have shifted over time, giving insight into where the crowd currently believes the most likely result lies. The current volume is $13, and the total volume traded to date is $380. This allows you to assess market activity and potential opportunities as traders react to news and information related to the match.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for a profit margin, whereas this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate that the crowd perceives information differently than the bookmakers. It's common to see prediction markets offer more accurate probabilities, especially closer to the event, as more information becomes available and is incorporated into the prices.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of the traders. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy contracts predicting a specific result, the price increases, and the implied probability of that outcome rises. Conversely, selling contracts lowers the price and the implied probability. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations.

This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by which team—the Colorado Rapids SC or Minnesota United FC—wins the second half of the match. The official result, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will be used to determine the winning outcome and settle all outstanding contracts in this market. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Predict once the event has concluded.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either the Rapids or United would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the coaches, or even weather conditions on match day could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected starting lineups or in-game events during the first half of the match are also likely to impact prices. Monitoring these signals can help you identify potential trading opportunities as the market reacts to new information.
