Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can differ due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, all of which influence price discovery. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Furthermore, the specific market types offered on each platform—for example, a spread versus a simple win/loss outcome—can attract different types of traders and lead to varying valuations. The differing volume on each platform, with Polymarket showing a volume of $856,090, also contributes to price discrepancies. These differences are a natural part of a decentralized prediction market ecosystem.
