This set of markets tracks how many points each team will score in an upcoming college football game. Each market corresponds to a specific point threshold for a team, determining whether they exceed that threshold during the game.
All markets resolve based on the official final point totals of Georgia State and Coastal Carolina in their college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores more than the stated point threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the original time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point thresholds listed.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a team will perform better than expected, the odds on Kalshi will shift accordingly, potentially creating discrepancies with sportsbook lines. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes, especially when there's a lot of information available and active trading.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of Coastal Carolina or Georgia State exceeding their team total points. The price of a contract reflects the market's collective assessment of that outcome's likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The closer we get to the game, the more volatile the prices may become as uncertainty decreases and traders refine their predictions.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final scores of the Coastal Carolina vs Georgia State game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official points scored by each team during the game. No further action will be possible after this date. The platform will then determine which contracts payout based on whether the teams exceeded their respective point totals as defined by the market.
Several factors could influence this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Coastal Carolina or Georgia State would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to one team's style of play, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected coaching decisions or shifts in team strategy could also play a role. Finally, as the game approaches, any public statements from players or coaches that suggest a change in approach could move the market on Kalshi.
