Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market relies on individuals directly wagering on the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when there's significant public interest or disagreement about the likely result. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information that isn’t immediately reflected in sportsbook lines, especially regarding team morale or unreported injuries.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact scores. The price of each share reflects the probability that outcome will occur, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a dynamic assessment of the event’s potential outcomes. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand for these shares on Polymarket.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries, changes in team lineups, or unexpected weather conditions could significantly shift the perceived probabilities.
