Prediction market odds often reflect the collective intelligence of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while prediction markets allow participants to directly express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. For this market, comparing the implied probabilities from Polymarket and Predict with sportsbook offerings could reveal interesting insights into where the ‘true’ odds lie, and how different groups are valuing the potential outcomes.
