These markets focus on the number of passing touchdowns achieved by specific quarterbacks during a football game between Cleveland and Tennessee. The outcomes depend on whether the designated player meets or exceeds certain touchdown thresholds throughout the full match, including any overtime periods.
These contracts are designated as protected. If a player participates in at least one play during the first half but does not participate in any play after the conclusion of the first half, including overtime, the contract resolves to the fair price prior to the game's kickoff unless the player records the required number of passing touchdowns, in which case it settles based on actual statistics. If the player participates in at least one play after the first half, the contract settles based on actual statistics regardless of first-half participation. Participation in a play nullified by penalty does not count, and a player who never participates remains subject to the fair price non-participation rule. The protected designation applies only to full-game contracts with an above or at-least payout criterion, and this event considers full game passing touchdowns including overtime.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as the prediction market can incorporate information and analysis more quickly. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Kalshi and those offered by sportsbooks tend to converge, as both attempt to accurately forecast the outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the total passing touchdowns in the Cleveland versus Tennessee game. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the probability of that specific outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded, and inaccurate ones are penalized. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all participants, making it a dynamic and informative indicator of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total number of passing touchdowns scored by both the Cleveland Browns and the Tennessee Titans in the game will be used to determine the winning contracts. The official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will serve as the basis for verification. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual number of passing touchdowns will receive a payout of 100 minus the price they paid.
Several factors could influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Browns or the Titans – particularly quarterbacks or wide receivers – would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, especially conditions unfavorable for passing, could also shift expectations. Furthermore, any updates on team strategies or offensive play-calling tendencies could impact the perceived likelihood of different passing touchdown totals. Finally, large trading volume on Kalshi itself, driven by informed traders, can also create price fluctuations.
