These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of an upcoming college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Clemson vs Florida St. college football game scheduled for Oct 31, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective forecast of informed traders. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional point spreads, as they aggregate diverse perspectives. However, sportsbook odds can be useful for understanding public perception and identifying potential value discrepancies. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a particular outcome – in this case, whether the total points scored in the second half will be over or under 9.5. As more traders buy 'over' contracts, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, reflecting the evolving beliefs of participants regarding the game's potential scoring output.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Clemson vs Florida State game’s second half will be used to determine whether the total points scored were over or under 9.5. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and transparent outcome. Traders holding contracts on the correct side will receive a payout, while those on the incorrect side will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence this market before the game concludes. Injury reports for key players on either team are significant, as they directly impact scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also affect the game’s pace and scoring. In-game events, like early scoring drives or turnovers, will likely cause rapid shifts in the market price. Any news regarding team strategies or coaching decisions could also move this market, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
