Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often include a 'vig' or commission, which influences their odds, whereas this market is driven purely by trader predictions. While sportsbooks may initially set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market reflects the collective wisdom of participants who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. It’s common to see divergences between the two, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts, offering potential value for informed traders.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome will occur, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence of participants.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
