This market tracks which team will be the first to reach 28 points in an upcoming football game. It captures the dynamic nature of the contest by focusing on early scoring momentum rather than the final outcome. The resolution depends purely on which team hits the 28-point mark first, or if neither does.
The market resolves based on which team first scores 28 points in the full game (including overtime) of the Cincinnati vs Baltimore Pro Football game originally scheduled for Oct 25, 2026. If Baltimore reaches 28 points before Cincinnati, the Baltimore market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Cincinnati scores 28 points before Baltimore, the Cincinnati market resolves to Yes. Should neither team reach 28 points during the game, the Neither Team market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. These rules ensure clarity and fairness in determining the outcome based on the timing of when each team reaches the specified point threshold.
Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading on their own beliefs, leading to probabilities that may be more accurate, especially as new information emerges. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, information advantages held by traders, or simply variations in how risk is assessed. It's common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to breaking news.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome – in this case, which team will reach 28 points first. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective belief about that outcome’s likelihood. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing sentiment. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price is essentially a real-time probability assessment, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived chance of that team reaching the point threshold.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official scoring of the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens, specifically determining which team reaches 28 points first. The final score will be verified against trusted sports data sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. The market will then settle based on which team achieved the milestone, or if neither team reaches 28 points, the outcome will reflect that result.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Bengals or the Ravens would likely cause price adjustments. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to one team’s offensive style, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic shifts announced before the game could also move the market. Finally, any significant shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by expert analysis or prominent sports commentators, could influence traders’ beliefs and therefore the prices in this market.
